Engagement
We create inclusive opportunities to strengthen people’s understanding of the vital role the ocean plays in our lives. We work to build emotional connections to the ocean and all waterways, helping to enable community-led pathways for action.
Empowering an ocean-engaged society requires an evidence-based, participatory approach. Research insights inform the design and delivery of public ocean engagement, while at the same time, on-the-ground learning informs future research. Our work is dynamic, collaborative, iterative, and responsive. It involves scientists, educators, artists, storytellers, policy-makers, and community leaders all playing a role to better connect people and the ocean.
